Neeld Arms, Grittleton

Excellent pub all round. A group of us meet every few months for a Sunday lunch as a way to catch up and explore a new pub. We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch in the Neeld Arms, in the extremely picturesque village of Grittleton. The pub was busy with regulars but us outsiders were made welcome by both the regulars and the staff. The Landlord explained they regularly get visitors who've ducked off the M4 in search of a pub.

Their menu is not the largest we've seen but the range is good, it's not too expensive and we all enjoyed our meals. The fresh veg could perhaps have been cooked for a few more minutes, but the quality of all our meals was high and it tasted superb. Although they were busy, we were never rushed. It was just a shame that more of us couldn't enjoy their beers as we were driving.

Families are clearly welcomed, there are some larger tables towards the rear of the pub for big groups and the log fire was a welcome feature to scare off the January cold.
