agree that food is prohibitive so just go for a drink ! this pub is everything that a true old village pub should be, it has comfy settees, real fires in winter and an excellent ( if pricey) range of beers.

It's a gem and the locals even say "hello" ( occasionally ! )

The Wheelhouse, Wollaton

Sunday night quiz is good fun, although always won by the people with the best text-message network :-) Staff friendly but toilets are disgusting and staff not interested when this is pointed out. Beer expensive but the "house wine" is good quality and value

The Admiral Rodney, Wollaton

Place looks very tatty and dark. Sunday lunch today was awful - reheated meat, soggy Yorkshire, too much gravy and only 2 veg, both of which were out of tins. Shameful.
