Smollensky's, Twickenham

So disappointed. Have been to this place plenty of times and it just seems to get worse... they need Gordon Ramsey - at present they are neither a bar nor a restaurant. Too much floor space given over to serving food but no customers. We ate after the distastrous refurb and I have to say I laughed my arse off at the earlier positive review of the fishcake. Mine was like an enormous potato football (topped with an uncooked egg). The cocktails are good and the guy behind the bar is friendly and polite. I want it to be better than this, it has the potential but every management decision seems to take it further down the wrong road. I want to be able to avoid the chavs (sorting room/william webb ellis/whatever), poseurs (bear), fighters (george) and emo-rock kids (filthys - thank god that moved down the road!), so smo's should be my place....come on, sort it out.
