well there is no change there then re; persons visit 26th dec,08. what a crying shame for visitors and the local people that once had respect for this unturned venue . it really doesnt take long to go overnight does it? ken and ann please come back to the quay and show them how you really treated your customers expecially sunday lunch times, where people where actually qqqqqqqqqng to get their sunday lunch. now theres space for all.

i totally agree with all comments . however, after a lot of time and effort preparing our very first xmas in cornwall(please note we have always been regular visitors/customers to to the quay. the xmas meal dec,2007 was to say the least(disgusting) after perservering to manage the so called (parsnip soup) we were waited on by a BOY in shorts( the xmas lunch arrived to be servced with(well i hardly recognised it) sirloin of beef) as touch as old boots, we summoned the (new manager(to be told by him "he likes it like that) as being previously aware he had no experience of catering we had been told by the staff) we had our monies back, but what a disaster. we were also told that a pension said it was the best lunch he had tasted) that was turkey) and what had this poor man been eating before) what a shame this lovely customer focused restaurant has taken a turn for the worse. we had plan (b) baked potatoes and that was fantastic) ken and ann where the previous owners. and what a hard act to follow. not impressed and certainly have not returned. are there any customers left. by the way we would strongly reccommend the (lamb and flag) there is certainly no fear of competition from the quay and there is no need for the staff at the lamb and flag to ask)is everything alright) we are frequent visitors there and booking is certainly adviseable) speaks for itself lunchtimne or evening. you will be sure of a very warm welcome. no comments on the managers attitude. no wonder the good staff have left.
