The Old Coach House, Potton

The pub has just reopened after a major invesment in a gastropub style. They have spent lots of money and it is very female friendly, to the point that it will put guys off. The lighting is way too bright, the furniture is not particaularly comfortable, some of the decor is tacky and it just doesn't "feel" like a pub in the way it used to.

I would probably go back to see what the food is like but for a drink with the guys I will be sticking to proper pubs.

The Rising Sun, Potton

Great choice of real ales! Beer festival in May was a winner! Food portions are decent and well priced. Just don't bother with the pool table - it needs replacing
