The Coach and Horses, Clapham

This is how a pub should be! On entering we were given a warm greeting by the staff behind the bar. The menu was presented to us, and it was noted that they can cater for dietary requirements. When we explained that I was vegetarian & lactose intolerant, the staff were full of suggestions, which was so welcome. Most staff in eateries don't even seem to know what lactose intolerant is! I opted for the vegetarian kebabs, whilst my partner went for the chicken pie. We have eaten as some of the best restaurants around, and can honestly say that the food was better at the Coach & Horses, than many a top London restaurant - we can't recommend this put highly enough. Despite others comments that the interior doesn't suit - poppycock, it's very much in keeping and sympathetic with the period of the pub. We'll be back!
