Popped in yesterday afternoon for a Christmas Drink after a Boxing Day drive. Although having lived in Sussex all my life and driven past this pub hundreds of times this was my first visit. Extremely welcoming landlord & landlady who made us feel very welcome indeed. Nick is very personable and friendly and makes you feel at home instantly. The Christmas ale was delightful and the mulled wine very tasty. Nice ambience with a log fire adding to the cosy atmosphere. We didn't eat but having checked out the online menu we'll certainly be sure of a return visit to sample the food that is on offer. I'd recommend a visit, certainly based on our experiences from yesterday. chunkypetersplat - 27 Dec 2012 10:37 |
The Coach and Horses is a brilliant place to have a small or large get together. On the times I've been there, be it for a quiet drink or a full on meal with over 15 people, the management went out of their to accommodate us. The management and their employees are welcoming and friendly and as an added bonus the food that they serve is superb!! Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area!!!! agree, food is excellent, although plastic sauce sachets have arrived! Car park unfortunately littered with dog poo. Nice pub though in convenient location and friendly staff. zedhorn - 4 May 2010 20:38 |
This is an excellent, friendly pub. I wish the new owners all the very best. They are working very hard to create a popular pub and restaurant. The food is the best!! Dawn123 - 22 Dec 2009 16:43 |
