Can't believe that nobody has reviewed this'boozer' for nearly five years and all the money spent on it's re-vamp. In a nutshell , to walk in and discover overnight the pub has decided to ramp up up the price of a pint of Guinness from 5 05 to 5.25 beggars belief.. Already the price was beyond that charged in most boozers in town despite its location beside a friendly local council estate next door. To put this in perspective, the Station charges 4.40 a pint. The local Spoons, if you want to go there, over £2 cheaper. This is an obscene way to treat local customers. Only driving them away to drink elsewhere. Clearly the emphasis is now to attract punters to eat in the restaurant, having spent a fortune on the expansion for dining, although even that experience is hit and miss. Look after your Community!!!!

Can't believe the prices the pub are charging since Fullers took it over. Absolutely gobsmacked, makes city prices seem reasonable. Never a frequent visitor but on the occasions I did duck in, I was always impressd with the running of the place, thouught previous manager ran a tight ship and you were always quickly served. This lot resent having to put their mobile phones down to serve you and think empty glasses left on tables will miraculously find their own way to the dishwasher. Can't believe anybody is stupid enough to get ripped off in this place. They must see the Conservation Area luvvies coming a mile off!!

The Old Fountain, Old Street

Great boozer, with a fantastic range of beers from near and far. Staff very friendly and helpful and price of beers and food is surprisingly good value for the area. Food is also excellent. This pub is a gem and all involved have got things just right. Long may it continue
