The Hoop and Grapes, City Of London

Best pub in the area.
Good selection of ales (Spit, Bishops and 2 guest alternating). There are also 3 bottled ales which can be a welcome break from the regular beers.
The Asahi-Orangeboom-San Miguel choice of lagers is refreshing. (not a Fosters in sight).
Good pub-grub at reasonable prices, and 2 levels above the main bar provide plenty of alternate space should the bar be crowded, including two dart boards and board games!
All-in-all, a good boozer!

The Green Man, Wembley

Been here a couple of times now. Last night was the first time I was able to enjoy the beer garden.
Well maintained lawn. Nicely-tended trees, and a great view of THE stadium.
2.60 for Carlsberg / Carling / Fosters.
Friendly staff and hidden away enough so that it feels quite rural.
Will definately visit again.

The Greenwich Pensioner, Poplar

As I previously informed you, the gang from the Brunswick are now in charge.
London Pride @ 1.90. Carlsberg, Stella, Boddingtons and Guinness at affordable prices. Plus bottled Bombardier, Spitfire and Abbott.
Karaoke on Thursdays, weekly quiz coming soon. Darts, pool, Sky Sports and music to entertain.
Ideal for a quiet pint, or family gathering.
