Electrik, Chorlton cum Hardy

An excellent bar / cafe / social house, right in the centre of Chorlton-cum-Hardy.
Not your identikit brewery run pub, but a true independant with flair by the shovelful.
Staff are a great bunch of characters, and clearly love what they do.
An excellent range of British and Continental Ales and Beers, from the cask and the bottle; sensible wine list and excellent Cocktails made with real care and attention, even at the busiest times.
There are door staff at busy times; which can be a bad sign for a bar, but it's clear here that they know who to send around the corner to the Royal Oak, and who to welcome in.

The Royal Oak Hotel, Chorlton cum Hardy

Now here is a development opportunity for someone.
This Pub is a shining example of how a very promising premises at the centre of a very pleasant suburb can descend into the local scumbag magnet.
Could be Chorlton's 'Metropolitan', but sadly not yet.
Oh, and beware the parasitic clamper if you use the carpark, but don't walk straight into the pub: he'll watch you walk away, and then get a clamp on quickly. Sadly, I suspect this has become this establishment's main revenue stream.
