The Lions of Bledlow, Bledlow

Visited on a Sunday lunchtime. The service was friendly and efficient. The food (I ordered Provincal Veg Lasagne) was very poor value at �8.50 (where do they get these prices from?). Tiny helping and the pasta was not fully cooked. Ploughman's looked better value at �6.50. I drank Deuchars which was OK. The pub was plastered with notices instructing eaters that food could only be ordered with a table number: the tables did not appear to have numbers. Ho hum.. I think I'll try somewhere else next time.

The Shepherds Hut, Ewelme

Visited July08. Friendly but very slow service. Beer was Green King IPA- drinkable, but GK is rarely very special. The bar food was about the most expensive I've seen and was not good value. There are other pubs in the area that I'd use.
