The Crown, Shoreham

OK for a one off visit, garden is nice in the summer. Food quite basic and same as all the other pubs in village. It is very quiet in here, bit like a library. Very clicky as well, landlord is quite regimental.

The Olde George Inn, Shoreham

Nice couple running this pub, has greatly improved sinced they took over earlier in the year. They do a great English fry up on Saturday mornings, full works at a reasonable price. Place seemed very clean, is quite small and short of space inside but is listed building so add to the character. Definitely one of the best in the village.

Two Brewers, Shoreham

Has finally closed down and has been taken over by new owners (Oct 09) in the process of refurbishing , from what I can see looks good so far. The old pub was so dated i.e. old red patterned carpet and velvet red seats that you used to sink into. Food was cheap and nasty. Was never busy considering it was in a tourist trap picture esq village in summertime. Hopefully new owners will breathe some new life into it. Also please do a different menu from the other pubs in the village that is the problem with Shoreham all the pubs are so quiet, same food, same non atmosphere, I hope new owners try something different. Good luck to them.
