The Spotted Dog, Penshurst

Having had some fairly bad meals in the past we also thought we would try the food again now the pub is under new management once more.

Things have definitely improved. There is a comfy lounge area and at last there are enough bar stools to go round. I had smoked salmon that came with a fresh mixed leaf green salad and bread, and was pretty good. Cheesy chips weren't bad either. The place is clean and warm and friendly with a good atmosphere that could easily make you want to stay there all day.

The Bottle House, Penshurst

Good pub, friendly staff. I just wish they still did the spring onion and chilli cheesy garlic bread like they used to in the old days. Nice beer too.
