I have recently moved into the area and have eaten at this pub on a number of occasions. Not found the pub to be unfriendly, staff will always try to accomodate you with a table in the bar if a table in the restaurant section is not available.
Usually quite full so is best to book a table.
Food is very good for the money. Not expensive.
Especially good if you like garlic mushrooms.
