I have been to this lovely pub on a number of occasions and always had a delicious meal. The salads are to die for! I have to say,all the menu is very good and have never had a bad experience.Members of staff are always helpful and friendly and nothing is too much trouble. We usually visit on a friday lunchtime and are always welcomed. If you havent tried this place, then please do, I would say its the best around by far. welshie - 5 Jul 2009 20:05 |
I have recently moved into the area and have eaten at this pub on a number of occasions. Not found the pub to be unfriendly, staff will always try to accomodate you with a table in the bar if a table in the restaurant section is not available. Usually quite full so is best to book a table. Food is very good for the money. Not expensive. Especially good if you like garlic mushrooms. agunter - 12 Feb 2009 14:30 |
Dont know if i would come all the way from Kent to drink here but compared to the majority of pubs in the region its o.k.---very clean, food inexpensive but certainly not outstanding.beer usually good but the bass last time was a little off.Usually pretty busy with a lot of elderly people and the piped music didnt seem very appropriate seeing that the average customer appeared to be pensioners,as usual the music in most pubs seems to be for the entertainment of the staff. The lady behind the bar was rather good looking and could be beautiful if she managed to smile now and again. oldpaddy73 - 19 Apr 2008 12:03 |
The food is always good. The Sunday Roast is a particular favourite of our family and is very good value for money. I will say that you should call and book a table in advance for a Sunday sitting as it always very busy. However having turned up on the off chance the landlord and lady were both very friendly and accomadating and made room for us in the bar area. The staff are very attentive and the service is superb. Its well worth the visit and the long drive from Kent. combean1 - 20 Aug 2006 11:17 |
