Four of us ate here a couple of Sundays ago and booked in advance, taking advice from other posts.

While the range of pies and wellingtons on the menus built up our excitement, we came down to earth with a bump when the overpriced food arrived. The wellington was just a filling on a plate with a pastry top; the pies a filling in a pot with the same wellington covering. Roasted potatoes from a bag you could get in a supermarket and the tiniest portions of veg were a further disappointment.

Food is not as good as it was in previous visits, overpriced Sunday roasts and roast potatoes are not even roasted! Rating the pub on the beer and not food
