The Harrow Inn, Compton

A smarmy welcome at this pub got us off to a bad start when we visited today. If you want a 'gastro' pub then this is for you although I'm not sure whether the pub is suffering from an identity crisis note: a large tv screen, a bhudda, far eastern sculptures, pictures of boxers along with high quality paper napkins and large square plates. Not a pub I would return to by choice as the BAR food was over-priced and not particularly appetizing. Can't comment on the RESTAURANT food - maybe that's better?
