Superb food and beer in that order, friendly staff and although it was too busy to get into the resturant enjoyed a fantastic meal in the Bar.

The Victory, Staplefield

The Victory changed hands 2006 with management coming down the road from the Chequers Slaugham. The Victory therefore has predictably developed in terms of beer, wine, food and presentation.
Driven out of my village by the "Badger" and always torn to choose between London Pride and Harvey�s Sussex, worth the travel.
The food on offer is outstanding, a mix of top class seafood and traditional fare. Weekends are busy so booking is recommended, come the summer the garden is large and yes you can watch the cricket.
