Fantastic pub, best in Halesowen, which is praise indeed considering the Waggon and Horses is just down the road.
Good: Lovely garden, great atmosphere, friendly clientele and staff, large selection of ales all kept perfectly by Ray.
Not so good: Sometimes too warm or smokey, sometimes the beer selection is weighed too heavily to pale, hoppy beers - I'd appreciate some darker maltier ales sometimes.

The Waggon and Horses, Halesowen
Beautiful Victorian bar, with a great selection of ales. Won the 2006 CAMRA pub of year for the whole West Midlands, so beating every pub in Birmingham, Coventry, Solihull and the Black Country. The only downside is that it is so small and cramped inside, so you tend to stay for just one or two rather than the whole evening and end up in the "Hawne Tavern" up the road which is less pretty inside, but much roomier.
Still, altogether a wonderful pub!
