The Flying Horse, Boughton Lees
I have visited the Flying Horse often, both before and since the change of management. It has improved tremendously in a short space of time.
On my last visit the selection of beer was good (Courage Directors, London Pride, Harvey's, Green King IPA, plus the usual lagers: Fosters, kronenbourg and Stella). The Harvey's was superbly kept.
I only had a snack - which was excellent - but the meals ordered by the next table looked good and the people were very complimentary. The service was fast and friendly and the whole atmosphere very enjoyable.
This is a lovely old pub, right on the village cricket green. There are tables outside at the front and a big garden behind. I expect it will be very popular in spring and summer.
The new landords are doing a good job, improving the reputation of the pub which had been allowed to go downhill. I'd strongly encourage you to give the place a try, rather than dwell on some of the earlier comments.
