One-off visit last weekend. A great village pub overlooking the cricket ground. Spoke with the landlord who took over only a week or so ago and he was very friendly and optimistic. 4 or 5 real ales including Flying Horse/Pegasus, which is a delicious ruby bitter, apparently brewed for them by Mad Cat Brewery of Faversham. Lovely stuff. Wish this was my local. mark555 - 23 Jun 2015 17:30 |
A great little pub, I have called in on mostly late afternoons on about 4 or 5 times a year over the last few years. I am impressed that the landlady always remembers me and is welcoming. This is a smartly presented pub, clean and well cared for. The ale is well kept, we have tried a selection over our visits and always been very happy. A lovely big garden at the back. If you want a nice pub to take a lady friend this would be my choice. shottendenaveling - 7 Nov 2012 20:44 |
Really well run community driven pub and a great place to watch the village cricket. Recommended. zubizaretta - 8 Mar 2011 15:03 |
Great little pub, friendly staff, really friendly locals who help provide the welcoming atmosphere. The regualr quiz nights are really good fun with a meal thrown in as part of the joining fee, (the music quizes are esp. good fun!) and the food is excellent. Regular local events and a perfect setting! Love it...well done to Stuart and Michaela (who run the place) and all their hard work in getting the place back on it's feet! thebaronswife - 18 Nov 2010 01:09 |
We love the Flying Horse. The owners (and other staff) are very friendly and have made a huge effort over the past year, which really shows. The location is peaceful, and perfect for watching a spot of village cricket on a Sunday (how very English!), the garden is huge (great for energetic kids), and the function room, which we've had a peek of, looks gorgeous.
