The White Horse, Pulverbatch

I drove past the pub today and found that it was closed with a large estate agent's board on it stating that it was to be auctioned. An old boy was walking past pushing a huge barrow of manure (I'm not kidding). He was happy to stop and talk. He told me that it has been auctioned and thet the local talk is that it will be reopened in late April or early May. I think I will visit in late May to see what it is like.
I hope that old boy was right. I would hate to see the loss of another rural pub.
