Viper, Exmouth

Popped into the Grapevine today and it's just what I was looking for in Exmouth. Proper food (an inspiring menu with great local ingredients), great ales & lagers , friendly staff and a nice 'feel'.

One of the bonuses for me was that they use local cola and lemonade rather than the corporate tasteless brands.

I'll be returning as soon as I can.

The City Gate Hotel, Exeter

Previus comments are now well out of date in my opinion. Current managers of this pub / hotel run a tight ship.

Beer is always well kept, menus change twice a year, offers are on monthly and the place feels friendly, clean and welcoming.

The Old Fire House, Exeter

Great pub. One of the best in Exeter for value, home cooked grub and atmosphere. Nicely lit and on 3 levels plus a good outside smoking area. Highly recommended.
