Popped into the Grapevine today and it's just what I was looking for in Exmouth. Proper food (an inspiring menu with great local ingredients), great ales & lagers , friendly staff and a nice 'feel'. | All change. Now called the Grapevine. Popped in with the Mrs for a pre meal drink. So impressed we stayed and ate here. New owners have transformed the place. Now over 25's (?) with five, yes, five hand pumps. Landlord intends to rotate the beers perhaps keeping Whitbread IPA as standard. On the night we visited I tried the Stout from the Bath Ales range which was lovely. Also remember Butcombe on. Smallish menu supplemented by a specials board.
