A truly awful drinking experience. Since this pub reopened it seems to have managed to attract a consistently rough crowd, mostly out of character for the surrounding pubs and bars in the area. This is promoted by a door policy that declines entry to casually dressed local people on the basis of wearing a woolly hat because it's cold, whilst opening the door to one of the many groups of scallies making a pilgrimage there for evening. If you do get past the ridiculous door and its compulsory weapons frisk (enough said) the pub has no discernible atmosphere, with generic house music and overpriced drinks - I'd rather while away an evening in the late shop next door.
