I think most of the people on here are being really unfair. I went to this pub with everyone I used to go to college with. They were all mature students applying for medicine. The food was really nice (and we loved their sausage baguettes with sweet onions chutney in it. The prices were always reasonable, and according to what I have read about O'Neills, the same can not be said. As for the staff, they were always friendly and chatty. We used to go in SW4 (as it was then), almost everyday, and we never had a negative experience. Also before you say anything else, no I am not a 'chav' and neither were my friends. I think it is a shame that such a brilliant place has gone. I still think about their baguettes. :( blueberrypie - 3 Dec 2007 12:42 |
This pub is now closed. It's rebranding as... O'Neills. Really. ONscotland - 24 Oct 2007 19:19 |
Prior to the smoking ban this place used to be populated by Clapham's oldest boozehounds but it's not given way to a younger set and office workers. It's a Wetherspoons by any other name and the service is proof of that. Over 21 policy in evenings with gorillas on the door to enforce it - why I don't know, this is the wrong end of Clapham ffs... asnootyfox - 25 Aug 2007 19:56 |

I've similarly been a victim of this pub's dress code for wearing track pants and so has friend. In both cases our clothes were spotlessly clean and bearing in mind others in the pub were wearing jeans and trainers this rule seemed rather pathetic. Our group had a good evening in the pub over the road andybrown - 15 Apr 2006 19:53 |
