The new landlord really is a delight. We had supper there three nights this week and the food was delicious, the service efficient and very friendly. Overall this is a proper pub which welcomes all (including the dog) for a drink or a meal. The complete cross-section of friendly people we met there made our stay in this beautiful part of Suffolk very enjoyable. ps Don't go to the Kings Head, the food was awful and more expensive.

The Maypole Inn, High Hurstwood
Four of us had supper there last Friday. The meal was excellent and very good value. They still serve Harveys Beer which is a pleasure in a pub owned by another brewery. The new landlord, Colin, and especially his partner Dee, were very friendly and made us very welcome. The pub was busy as usual with a lively mixed crowd and the same young face behind the bar kept some continuity.
Can't praise the evening enough and will be back again soon.

The Kings Head, Orford
Had supper here this week and the food really was below average for pub food and on the expensive side. Much better to go to the Jolly Sailor down near the quay where the food is excellent.
