The Village Inn, Moseley

10 plus years ago, Moseley had a really good vibe, a real unique, bohemian, pleasant environment. Suddenly it became Broad Street, with stiletto clad chavs tripping all over the place with a stomach fuil of cheap alcopops. Bouncers on every pub door, checking out your footwear. Im sorry, is this Moseley Village or Monte Carlo?

Moseley has gone downhill as a consequence of pubs like the Village and The Jug of Ale dissappearing. Replaced by cheap 5hit holes like The Wetherspoons, and expensive 5hitholes like The Juntion and the Bulls Head.

The Village Inn, Moseley

Often you'll find a couple of unsavoury characters loitering around the quiz machine. They never appear to win, yet they spend hours playing.

Other than that, the beer is decent, a good range of pub snacks, which is important. Occasionally the bogs could do with a wipe.
