The Bobbin, Clapham

Faultless. Have eaten and drunk here many times recently. The service is amazing -- friendly and inobtrusive as it should be. Food is fresh and menu changes frequently. The conservatory and garden at the back are bright and sunny and the only drawback to this place is that you can spend the whole afternoon.

The Ship, Wool

I can only assume that the two anonymous reviewers are the landlord and his wife. Having read the reviews thought that The Ship would be worth a visit. Go, by all means for the ale but stay away from the food, it really is terrible. It was very busy but I always fear places which have 40-odd dishes on the menu plus a specials board -- you have to ask yourself, how can they have so may different varients fresh every day? They don't -- the roast was processed and cooked many hours before it saw my plate.
