The Horse and Groom, Mortimer

Both my friend and I enjoyed this pub. It was a good atmosphere, with friendly people. We went on Saturday evening. It was very busy inside the pub and outside in the beer garden, yet it wasn't unpleasant. My friend had organic lamb stew for about �7, which was lovely. I had rump of lamb which was cooked to order for �11 (delicious). There was a live band which started after we had eaten and was unobtrusive. Deserts were about �4, my friend had mocha cheesecake and icecream which was homemade and very light.
