The Eight Bells, Putney Bridge

I've been visiting this pub for years when I'm in London and always find some friendly faces and a bloody good time. In fact once about 15 years ago some friends and I spent a good week or so partaking of their fine grog and making a lot of noise singing bawdy ditties . Four months later half way around the world in Melbourne Australia a fellow stopped me in a pub and asked if I was ever in the 8 Bells in Putney. I answered yes and said he had a good memory for faces and he said no , but he recognised the songs !!! Was there again last year for a couple of long sessions and hope to be again there next year.I normally make it to the UK every month or so .I wish I had a great little pub like this in rural Australia where I live , to call my local !
