The Kingsdon Inn, Somerton

A delightful couple have taken over this pub. He is an experienced head chef from a smart Somerset hotel. She is Italian. My lunch companion and I were each given a complimentary glass of mulled wine. The pub has been done up inside in excellent taste. The menu had plenty of choice and included today's specials. I ate delicious venison casserole complete with a range of vegetables. My friend ate pheasant which she also found to be very good. Although we live 30 minutes to an hour away we are already planning a visit in January.
