The Black Swan, Homersfield

My parner and I used the Caravan Club Certificated site at the rear of the Black Swan for the August Bank Holiday weekend.
It was a lovely weekend, sunny and warm, and we made good use of the pub in the evening. The Adnams is very well kept and the staff were pleasant and friendly.
We ate in the restaurant on Sunday evening and were impressed again by the efficient staff.
Tony, the landlord, entertained us by catching two large hornets that had somehow blundered into the restaurant!
The menu is very unusual, with imapla, crocodile, kangaroo and other exotic meats on offer. We wimped out and went for fish, which was perfectly cooked.
In all, a lovely pub, just off the beaten track, perfect for caravanners - and for those who like to do a spot of fishing, there is a little river that runs along the back of the campsite, teeming with roach, gudgeon and tench. A great weekend!
