Monks Retreat Inn, Broadhempston
Small pub in centre of pretty though somewhat inaccessible village south of Dartmoor. Has an excellent Sunday lunch of roast beef and Yorkshire pudding with generous helpings of veg, good pint of 'Jail' bitter. Staff very friendly, meal was pricey but worth it. The decor of the pub is old style (Gents WC pretty basic) but unpretentiousness is part of the pub's appeal.
