The Rising Sun, Mill Hill

A charming local pub, which now benefits enormously from having ownership that care about beer, food, presentation and all those important things a great pub must have.
Having been void of atmosphere for far too long, The Rising Sun is now back on track.
The beer, Adnams, Abbot and Youngs is still superb, now complimented with an impressive food menu, which one would more likely see in a good restaurant.
The ever increasing number of locals returning here and staying, and new-comers comments on their enjoyment of the evening is proof of the cordial nature this favourite of mine has re-achieved.

Ye Olde White Bear, Hampstead

A pub that seems to be steadily improving. A better range of ales on now than in recent times, served by congenial staff that make an effort. Very busy on quiz night (Weds/Thurs?) and open a little later than some of the pubs locally Thursday-Sunday. Well woth a visit.

The King William IV, Hampstead

Disappointing visit once again! After eventually being served, on trying the two ales that were on, neither were drinkable. Giving the old place the benefit of the doubt, I went back a week or so later, to find only one undrinkable ale on. I would have been happy on both occasions to have had a Gunness, if I could find one redeeming feature to warrant spending further time in there.
