The Butchers Arms, Aberdeen

Serves an excellent pint of lager. Good local type pub in a fairly central location. Never had any trouble when i've popped in, everyone friendly. Would recommend.

Golden Acorn, Glenrothes

Yawn yawn yawn, got to be one of the most boring pubs I have ever been in. Totally dead through the week and even when busy at the weekends it might as well be a huge square room full of people standing with a drink in there hand not saying much. No charm. No life.

Ghillies Lair, Inverdee Bridge

They play the same CD continuoslly and it drives you stir crazy after the second time! The bar staff are not permitted to change it as it is the companies choice. None of the prices seem to come 0 or 5 so you always end up with a pocket full of 1p and 2p pieces which can be annoying. The bar staff are friendly but the bar/restaurant manager is completely useless and causes more problems than she ever sorts out. The pints of lager taste good and it sells real ale if that is your thing but there are better pubs nearby. Avoid if possible.
