The Rose and Crown, Woodford Green

Nice and friendly pub with lots of people. Nice beer. Few weirdos plotted around like most pubs in this area.

Very busy Saturday nights. Have not tried the food but looks like Brakes Brothers specials.

The Travellers Friend, Woodford Green

Popped in there on a Friday, like a madhouse now. The two misery guts have gone and under new management. Quite lively and varied selection of ales to choose from. Only thing is they let children in now and young ones at that which is a shame as the pub is a bit too small to have them running around especially when the place is packed. Lots of banter, shouting and fun. Big fat bloke perched on a tiny stool still there. His cheeks hanging over the sides like saddle bags. He looks like a miserable guts. Moaning because I took a stool that belonged to someone else. Don't know why people like him go to pubs to depress everyone else, sitting there moaning about everything in life. Maybe he should go work out at the gym and lift some weights. Good fun pub now apart from few negatives like porky.

The Cricketers, Woodford

Went in one evening and was the only person in the bar! This seems to be a lot less busier than before. Spoke to couple blokes who arrived after me who said that the Landlord has driven everyone away or barred many. Shame as this could be a nice place with the right management. Barmaid was a glamorous buxom mature woman with a face of thunder.looked like she did not want to be there, face like a smacked backside. Do not understand why staff are like this when there are so many other places competing. Bitter was ok, only serve their own beer which is a shame.
