The Ship, Cobham

I went to the Ship Inn at lunchtime today, 9 November 2008 and was not happy with the service I received when I questioned my bill as I had been given the food I requested but with extras which I ate but hadn't realised they had changed my order for a more expensive version of the same food, until I was presented with the bill! When I asked for a discount as I found it unfair to only find out at the time of paying the bill, I was refused, by the landlord. Disappointing as I would previously have recommended this pub, but not any more! The least I wanted was an apololgy (which I did get from the girl who took my payment but not from the landlord) and would have appreciated a reduction in the bill rather than to be told "no" and "I'm busy talking to someone". The girl was very polite though who I paid. Disappointing as I would previously have recommended this pub, but not any more!
