The person who said 'new management' was wrong. This pub has been in the same family for generations and is the most genuine of local pubs anyone could wish to visit.

This pub embodies everything I love about English pubs.

That should be enough, but I feel the need to elaborate...

Bar staff that make the punter feel appreciated.

Punters that are wonderful to converse with.

An atmosphere that just says "welcome!"

Everything you could honestly wish for in a boozer.

Old Plough, West Wycombe

This pub is currently ran by the most repugnant, racist man I have ever met in my entire life.

In my 37 years I have rarely heard the 'N' word used aloud and with such hatred in a public place, but here it is regularly used with vehemence by THE LANDLORD.

Black people are not the only targets of this man's vitriol. Welsh people are also guaranteed a cold welcome and constant reminders of this nasty little man's contempt for them, should they attempt to spend time in this pub.

In fact, you don't have to be black or Welsh. You only have to have the wrong face. I have witnessed many would be punters leave very soon after entering entering, because of the landlord's behaviour and attitude.

It's not only new punters that are put off. You only have to walk across the road to the George and dragon to hear stories by former regulars who have nothing but contempt for this man and his equally obnoxious wife.
