The Royal George Inn, Appledore

Booked a table in the restaurant having not been for many years (it was superb last time) - what a joke, very poor service, with incredibly overpriced food, the vegetables in support of the man course were rediculously late arriving and the poor couple on the table next to us waited so long they had finished their entire meal before the vegetables arrived and then got sent away.
A fillet of bass at �16.95 wasn't big enough to feeed a two year old and when it was pointed out to the immature girl serving she just laughed.
A great shame as this place used to be superb but was a complete waste of my money - take my advice and don't waste yours!

The Hunter's Inn, Parracombe

What a truly dreadful pub, from the moment you walk in to get served by an unwholesome looking women behind the bar, to the sticky table tops, truly awful beer, food that took over an hour to be served (other customers were leaving prior to the food arriving) and to call it canteen standard would be an insult to most canteens. Orders were messed up...I could go on but you�ll get the drift.
The area is outstanding but please don�t spoil your holiday by going to this place!
