Hare and Hounds, Shenstone
Visited this pub for Sunday Lunch from Birmingham. Arrived at the pub, which was very nice (outside and in) and had very friendly, welcoming staff. We sat in the main bar and made our choices from the 2 courses on the Sunday Menu. The starter of breaded mushrooms was very basic and nothing to write home about but mostly we were very disappointed with our mains. I had Roast Beef and my partner has Roast Pork. The meats were cooked well but we were shocked at the quantity and quality - 1 new potato & 1 roast potato and plus veg of 1 cauliflower with a handful of peas and carrots. There was no taste to anything apart from the meat and we were both starving after finishing. We finished with a dessert from the board of profiteroles, again nothing to write home about. Luckily, we were visiting the pub through a voucher deal and got it very cheap. Otherwise, we would not have been happy to pay full price for what we got! Not likely to visit there again as you don't expect to have to buy something else to eat on the way home from 'lunch out'.
