Now run by the ETM Group so you can now get some decent food in here as well as a drink. Love the snooker room upstairs. The whole place feels a bit too smart (hardly surprising given the Sloaney location) but its still comfortable and the bar staff are nice enough. Lovely French waitress who copes well with the little dining section. Food is well worth a try, whether you go for the posh nosh or the pub classics. Both are good.

Feels like it should be a rock pub, but its full of skinny jean-wearing indie types as there's live music of that genre upstairs most nights. Downstairs is sort of grubby-chic, lots of flyers/posters and reclaimed furniture as well as a chandelier in need of a good clean.
Great list of bourbons but this appears to be wasted on the clientele. I was the only one not drinking beer/cider. Mental. One of the main draws is the food. The kitchen is run by the team behind posh gastropubs like The Cadogan Arms, The Gun etc, but its American themed so expect ribs, hot dogs and so on. Good burgers, great onion rings and massive portions. Best meal I've had in Kings Cross for a while thats for sure.
Will definitely be back again. Ideal for a few whiskies before a gig at the Scala or the Water Rats nearby.

Haven't been for a few months so I hope it still has the same great staff, led by a manager who actually cares about the place. The place looks good, especially the massive garden, and I agree that it wouldn't look out of place in Camden or somewhere similar as its often packed with a well-dressed relatively young crowd. They always seem to have stuff going on - booze tastings, quizzes, themes, etc - but it doesn't feel forced or cheesy.
Had two great meals here and one really bad Sunday lunch, but I'll forgive them as it was insanely busy. If you're eating I'd visit mid-week and go for the burgers which are consistently good and always cooked medium as they should be. Don't miss out on the white chocolate bread and butter pudding either - its far beyond pub grub.
