The Railway Tavern, Meopham

This pub is one of the quieter ones in Meopham village. It suits the older generation who like to go for a social drink without the blasting of music or rowdy crowds. You can taste that they really look after their ales and the selection of wines is quite vast which is surprising for this type of pub. The staff are chatty and friendly, all in all, a very pleasant pub.

The Long Hop, Meopham Green

I am a local / regular who has found the food and service at The Long Hop fantastic. Since the refurbishment has taken place, it has become one of the best social places to go in Meopham. The staff are helpful and friendly and the service is second to none. The atmosphere has a nice warm buzz to it and seems to suit people of all ages.
*** For the person who hasn't got the guts to leave a name and doesn't know what 'the long hop' means, s/he should take into consideration that the low ceiling in the lounge bar is due to that part of the pub being over 200 years old!! ***
