The Kings Head, Coltishall

We were warned away from this pub during our recent holiday, but I have to say our experience of it was absolutely superb. Went for a lovely pint of Wherry one evening and returned for a delicious breakfast of the highest quality. The staff were attentive and helpful and even let us charge our camera battery up inside the pub. Really good menu. Recommended.

The Rising Sun, Coltishall

Went to the Rising Sun for an evening meal during recent tour of the Broads. Whilst the food and drink were absolutely fine, the attitude of the bar and waiting staff left a lot to be desired. Made the mistake of politely correcting the barman when he served up the wrong drink and from then on he had a very rude, condescending attitude towards myself and our party of four, even moaning at us to make sure we got our table number correct implying that the mistake wasn't theirs. The staff were clearly seen to gossip and joke about customers in front of them in a very 'bitchy' manner. It's a shame as would have been a very pleasant evening otherwise.
