The Horse and Groom, Twyford

Well worth a visit. It made the 2011 Good Beer Guide and continues to maintain a good standard of ales. It's not a wheelchair friendly place if you want to venture to the lower bar area - or the toilets.

Courage Best and London Pride are the regular beers with one or sometimes two guests - usually from local breweries.

The Eldon Arms, Reading

Excellent two-bar pub a 100 yards off the Kings Road (A4) in Reading. The Pint Size Mild is excellent, but not always on.

The Brewery Tap, Sudbury

Excellent pub! Found it from the CAMRA Good Beer Guide while in the area and went back the following weekend for their Beer Festival - not that there wasn't enough choice for most people on the first visit.

They don't normally do food, but if you bring in food or order a take-away to be delivered, they will provide plates and cutlery. They have 4-pint take-away beer containers too.

There's no car park, but we managed to park up the deadend road beside it on both occasions. Staff are friendly, helpful and know about their beers.
