The Fox And Hounds, Denmead

Food: The food is excellent. Large portions and cooked perfectly.

Service: The service on the whole is good. They are all mainly young girls, a bit inexperienced but willing.

HOWEVER: The landlady, Ginny I believe, is in the wrong business! She brings a whole new meaning to the word Hospitality and it differs from what the rest of the English speaking people would recognise.
We asked for a table and were told, with a heavy sigh, to �Wait there, I'll see.� She was rude, ignorant and unhelpful, she just sat on the stool drinking wine whilst her bar staff were run ragged. It spoilt the whole meal for us and we will not be returning for this reason.

Atmosphere: Frosty, felt uncomfortable. This is a shame as it is a lovely country pub and we feel that under different management could be a huge success as are the other country pubs in Denmead. This one has it all, great food at a reasonable price, a free house, lovely views. Shame about the Landlady.

Value: Great value. Let it be known if she leaves, the place will be packed
