The Queens Head, Rothbury

Visited this pub several times in the fortnight I recently spent in Rothbury. It is split into the restaurant on one side and bar on the other with accomodation upstairs. The food is good, hearty stuff, served in either bar or restaurant. The bar is dog friendly and offers wi-fi. Service is welcoming and efficient and there's a quiz night on Wednesdays. A lone television is constantly on over the bar but nobody watches as the clientele are much more interesting. All our party were lager drinkers: bottles of Staropramen were out of date but it's alcohol, no need to get too concerned.
