The Fox Goes Free, Charlton

AWFUL FOOD! Dry, overcooked, sloppy and lazy. BIG dissapointment.
Lamb shank looked like they had dragged it from underneath the cooker. Sent it back they said it would be 20 minutes and did I want something else. 5 minutes later they said they took a replacement from someone elses order.
--
they took it off the bill but everyone else was too polite to compkain about their dry fish or dry shin bone.

Great location, good good Ales, advise only to go for beer and a walk.

The Rising Sun, Nutbourne

Brilliant english ale house, good food, lively when events and bands are on. Friendly staff and the favourite with villagers. Perfect.

Word of warning, the coppers sit outside some nights waiting for people to leave as it is out of the way it appears some people are tempted to drive the short trip home. No parking as far as I can see anyway, on the road never seems to be a problem

The Squire and Horse Inn, Bury

I would come here time and time again, reasonable sized portions, good hearty food, good wine choices, good sunday roasts. Very orientated towards food and the food is consistent and good value.

Staff quick and easy to communicte with considerting how busy it is and how young they are, usually at least 5 people serving. Not a lot of pubs can afford that nowadays

I am unsure as to which Ales they have as always had wine with a meal.

Highly recommend.

The White Horse, Pulborough

Awful awful miserable place.
I don't know how they keep serving, except that the food is so overpriced and baldy cooked. The ONLY good thing to come to this place for, is in the summer, if the garden is quiet you can get a spot at the top and view the downs AND the burger menu.
We always end up here however, don't know why. Christmas - log fire, Summer - sun in the beer garden, Out of term time - livelier crowd.
General price for a meal for two and a bottle of wine is 50.
No-where to sit, grimacing men at the bar all the time not letting you get a drink. There are far better pubs in Pulborough

The White Hart, Pulborough

Stopped off here several times. Had pizzas in the garden, bad thing about the garden is that you cannot see the river for the tree's and there is a massive noisy generator in it.

Pizzas were lush though, very nice and hot. Good price for good food.

They sell brilliant Ales, local Arun ales. WELL DONE!

Nice pub to sit on the bridge, come whilst having a walk or stop off from taking a trip up the river.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND, one fo the better pubs in Pulborough for a summers eve.

The Oddfellows Arms, Pulborough

Pub OK, our choice if we have people over and need somewhere a bit livelier as Friday and Staurday nights can be. Pool table and bands is the key pull for us.

Roomy pub so you can walk around, find a seat and not feel too clausterphobic.
--
Shame they only do Fullers, but still nice Ale

Not tried food
