Lovely little boozer. Helpful friendly staff, excellent quality beers and ciders at reasonable prices. 9 or 10 hand pumps on (I think) and 3 proper ciders. And........ only 5 minutes stagger to the Travelodge.

Best proper boozer in town. Decent guest ales too for a Greene King house.

Brilliant! Brilliant! Brilliant!
I totally agree with "woodythelampy". This is one of the three pubs I visit when going to watch rugby. And for me in the top ten in Europe.
I'ts "Horses for courses" I suppose so I'm sure csajcf can find himself a nice little plastic cloned gastro-pub selling flavour free euro-fizz.

The Wortley Almshouses, Peterborough
Solid boozer, Sam Smiths quality and prices. Ideal place to finish your crawl before catching the train, bus or cab home.

The Palmerston Arms, Peterborough
Great boozer for the real ale fan. And what's better no euro-fizz.

Small pub, decent Ale, nice people.
If you want cheap "ale-fresco", go to Wetherspoons.

Probably the only pub worth a visit in Chateris, for Real Ale enthusiasts.

Maritime Inn, Plymouth
Excellent little find on a crawl. A couple of excellently kept ales, both local, one of which was surprisingly cheap. The landlord and Landlady Ian & Ros were brilliant hosts and most helpful in giving us pointers, as to where to go for ale in Plymouth.
Highly recommended.
