Nice friendly pub with decent meals. The beer could be better but still not too bad. Worth going on way down or back from the lake.

Pub is good for meals with plenty of specials. The downside is the price of a pint which at �2.90 for a pint of coke is bad and more for beer. It is however a decent pub with nice staff who are willing to help.

Ye Olde Golden Lion Inn, Keswick
Been to this pub a number of times in past 5or 6 years and a decline in standards to the point where we will not go back when next in Keswick. Sunday 17th Jan 2010 barman was too busy talking to his mates to serve my wife and then when did get served, she got such a dirty look for interupting his conversation from said friend. Beer was not the best and we drunk up and left never to return.

Sweeney's Cellar Bar, Keswick
A very clean and tidy bar. The barman (possibly owner) is always very friendly even though my 2 young daughters are nearly always with us when we go, he talks to them and makes them feel welcome to the point that the eldest asks to go there. It is very rarely busy but i think this has more to do with the position of it than anything else. Plus side for me is the fact it shows the sport and decent pint of Jennings.
